Diplomacy Between Nations
What was the diplomacy
among each other and
toward Germany?
Diplomacy amongst the Allied Nations strengthened as the United States provided aide to the worsening post-war economies of Eastern European nations. Although, democracy was uprising in Europe, communism was also spreading throughout Eastern Europe because of the influences of the Soviet Union. Diplomacy towards Germany hadn’t improved. An estimated 38 million military and civilians lost their lives during World War II. Germany’s NAZI regime stood trial for war crimes and much of Europe was left in ruins. The Soviet Union had taken over the spotlight from Germany as the “bad boy” image of Europe leading into the Cold War. After World War II, there were only two great powers left in the world; the United States of America and the USSR.
