The Aftermath
When World War 2 finally came to a close, a large part of the Worlds Jewish population had already been exterminated by Adolf Hitler. Hitler and his men were very efficient at the job at hand, and when it was all done, the Jewish people that had inhabited Europe were almost all gone.
When the war came to a close, and the last of the Jewish people had been released from prison, and the death camps, there was virtually no place for them to go. When they tried to go back to their homes, some were beaten and killed; others were harassed so bad that they left what they had called there home. The only reasonable thing that could be done was establish some sort of reasonable emigration reform to allow the Jews that survived the ability to relocate to any place that the wanted to. Unfortunately many countries did not want Jews to relocate to there country. Even the United Stated had put a limit on how many people that were displaced by the war were able to come to this country legally.
In 1948 with no other real possibilities, the sovereign state of Israel was formed, and Jews that were displaced finally had a place to call there own, and they flooded in to there new homeland.
