HOW TO PREVENT A HOLOCAUST
There are many ways to prevent another Holocaust from happening. Although, they seem to happen more and more, the United States has been lucky in the sense that it hasn’t happened on U.S. soil. Other countries suffer from these happens more and more as the years go by. However, when the initial Holocaust happened, it was geared by hate, prejudice and the power that one man and only one man held. Those powers are not something that only one individual should hold. These powers should go through different branches and have different individuals vote and veto on them, similar to the United States. Preventing mass Holocausts requires political will. The general public must speak up and demand the leaders do what is right.
Next, those enabling these happenings must be stopped. These Holocausts cannot happen without support of other government agencies and corporations. Whoever is financing these acts of violence should have the money stiffened. Calling to attention any nation that welcomes or rewards these actions. Lastly, making human rights a top agenda and a top priority. Making sure people have individual rights and they are not ostracized for who they are, there religious practices, their sexual orientation, gender and so on and so forth.
These steps were avoided during the first Holocaust because Hitler was given extreme power over everything. He did not have to get permission from anyone or go through other to okay his decisions, he just did it. He had support from tons of individuals, companies and basically the entire German population backed him. He was a prejudice man and hated those outside of the “master race” or the Aryan race. History might not have gone this way if there were more people involved in the decision making and more people knew exactly what was going on. But just as it is with the government today, they only let the citizens see what they want.
