The Rise of Hitler
Hitler was the leader that Germany was looking to after the devastation of WWI. Due to the ever looming threat of hyperinflation, political chaos and possible Communist takeover, the Germany people were desperate for solutions and scapegoats. Hitler was capable of all this.
Hitler had much insight into psychology. He was a master of intrigue and a wordsmith with his manipulative speeches. After Hitler gained German citizenship, he decided to run for president in the elections of 1932. Unfortunately for him, he lost to then war hero Paul von Hindenburg. He may have lost, but this gave him the opportunity to strengthen his position as he offered support to Chancellor Franz von Papen.
